Similar to the bright and refreshing colors of Florida beach cottages of the 1940s is the 'Cabana Fever' Seaside cottage, located just three houses from 30A and the beach. It has a great location just 78 steps to the beach and a short stroll to the sparkling blue pool of the west side. Did we mention it's right across from the Truman House and played a small role in the movie The Truman Show? That combined with the fact that this one-story cottage was the first of its kind built on Natchez Street makes it truly possess its own place in Seaside history.

This vacation cottage has three bedrooms and two and a half baths, but what really wins you over is what's inside. There is one-of-a-kind vintage rattan furnishings, 1940s club-chair seating and elegant contemporary pieces that give heart and soul to Cabana Fever. Carefully selected art pieces border on magical nautical themes and broaden to include antique pieces and those of pop culture. Vintage aquarium collectibles add a joyous touch to top off the cottage decor.

Cabana Fever underwent a large renovation in 2012, upgrading to modern appliances and electronics, but it stills keeps the happy-go-lucky look of an old-time Florida beach house. The renovations also included the addition of a fireplace and upgraded bathrooms that include marble countertops, subway tiles and the perfect sunlight portals: a skylight and bay window. You'll also find the deep, vivid colors of the ocean on the newly-painted walls. 

The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed and private bathroom with a separate shower and tub. A suitable queen-sized guest bedroom and a third bedroom with two twin bunk beds are comfortable sleep havens for all guests. Both of these rooms share a hall bathroom that connects to the guest bedroom.

The outdoor deck is home to the grilling and chilling station for a relaxing Florida evening, and after playing with your toes in the sand, rinsing sandy feet is as easy as going to the back door and using the outdoor shower.

If all that wasn't enough, Cabana Fever can also sleep two more castaways in the guest cottage, the 'Cabana Babe.'  All of this makes Cabana Fever a charming ocean-side cottage and the perfect holiday getaway for those traveling with a big family, and of course, those looking to melt off some stress.  

Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign registration.  5 night minimum Spring, Spring Break and Summer | 3 night minimum Fall | 2 night minimum Winter

This house was perfect for our family. We have two children ages 4 and 7 and they both walked easily to the pool, the beach, and to shops and restaurants from the house. The home itself was incredibly clean and comfortable. Cabana Fever is like its own little art gallery with paintings and unique decor. We will most likely reserve this home again when we return to Seaside. We couldnt have asked for a better place. There is a guest house, Cabana Babe, that is a separate rental if you are needing more space than the 3 bedrooms. We will keep that in mind if we need additional space in the future.
