Filled with lovely antiques, yet comfortable enough for a family to enjoy with an array of unique furnishings and memories just ready to explore.

Owned by the former owners of a local antique shop by the same name, the ‘Fernleigh’ cottage offers plentiful windows and glass doors, opening up the indoor living space to the outdoors. Filled with rocking chairs and even a porch swing, the inviting front porch is something sure to be adored. Meanwhile on the back end of the cottage visitors are treated to more outdoor space and a newly installed charcoal grill, as the deck can also be accessed thereby a first-floor bedroom and via the kitchen.

Beyond the kitchen, filled with plenty of cabinetry and counter space, the first floor also opens up to a dining area for six while the spacious living room centers around the home’s cozy fireplace. A walkway leads on to the first-floor primary bedroom and accompanying primary bath, supplemented by a unique claw-foot shower tub and pedestal sink.

Two more bedrooms are upstairs, one a queen-sized bed with direct balcony access and another that comfortably fits two twin beds, also with easy access to the elongated balcony, with plenty of room for sitting and enjoying the mature, landscaped views from the privacy of your own vacation home.

Located just a short walk from the beach, ‘Fernleigh’ easily adapts to a beach lifestyle yet retains its own identity, blending a rustic exterior with an eclectic mix of fanciful furnishings that work together to make the ‘Fernleigh’ truly unique.  

Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign registration. 5 night minimum Spring, Spring Break and Summer | 3 night minimum Fall | 2 night minimum Winter

  • Only 1 parking pass per one-bedroom cottage and 2 parking passes for two-bedroom and larger homes are issued. A golf cart is considered a car.
  • Golf carts for non-homeowners visiting Seaside are prohibited. Special circumstances and medical needs requests require a golf cart permit.

Awesome property management company! The only thing we didn't like about the house was the showers in both bathrooms & the lack of overhead lighting in the house.

Perfect weekend in this quaint cottage just steps away from the beach pavillion and Seaside Restaurants and Stores. Management company was wonderful and accommodating. Cant wait to come back!

We would love to stay at Fernleigh again. It was roomy and comfortable. The screened porch was perfect for hanging out in the evenings after dinner. Very convenient to the beach as well. We had a great vacation and can't wait until next time!

This cottage is charming. The layout is great, and it's so close to everything. The location alone makes it worth it. We have two kids under two, so I will say the furniture is not very kid-friendly. A lot of it is iron/metal or very sharp-cornered wood. The doors to the upstairs bedrooms are pullout closet doors and very loud, so if you have little ones be prepared! Like the other reviews, the living room furniture is not very comfortable or accommodating to a family/more than two people. Honestly, if there was better living room furniture it would be near perfect. If there's a rainy day, there's really no comfortable area to hang out. The front porch is lovely - we couldn't spend enough time out there! All in all an great place.

The kitchen was great and well stocked. Ice maker is awesome! We loved the new outdoor porch furniture! Great location! Would be really nice if it had an outdoor grill. Everything was perfect for us except the day bed upstairs could use a new and more comfortable mattress. The other mattresses were very comfortable.

A charming cottage that was surprisingly kid friendly. The location was primo - we did not drive our car anywhere! This cottage is not only located steps from the beach, but also only steps from the Seaside shops and restaurants. Our 2.5 year old had no issues on foot.This property was spotless and NO bug sightings!Parking was right beside the cottage with additional space in front.Also of note, the management company provided an exceptional experience - very responsive over email, which was our preferred method of communication. Their office is a short walk from the cottage so they are also available in person if preferred. The welcome tote with wine, beach towels, literature, and organic coffee was a treat!Overall, I highly recommend this cottage due to its location, cleanliness, charm, and professional management. We will be returning!
