From the early 1990s, Seaside renowned architect Richard Gibbs’ classic two-bedroom Charleston style cottage with a sky-high secluded sun deck has been winning praise and return guests to its relaxed Forest Street destination.

Upscale amenities include a premium stainless kitchen featuring Wolf, Sub-Zero and Asko appliances. This is a unique address to experience all the best of vibrant Seaside village while enjoying the privacy of being immediately adjacent to the deep woods. The street-facing entry door leads onto the ground floor screened porch with direct access to the two queen bedrooms, each with a TV and private bathroom with modern walk-in shower. This Seaside cottage features a much admired deep porch (or “dogtrot”) style layout, with a large full-length open breezeway off the private bedrooms and separate living area, each with its own private keypad entrance.

Up an easy staircase inside the porch, the second floor includes the efficient chef’s kitchen, dining table, living room with large sofa, comfy chairs, TV, street-view balcony and half-bath. A light-filled inset writing desk (complete with laser printer) with views into the treetops offers the perfect setting for contemplation, reading, writing or staying in touch with the outside world. A spiral staircase leads high up to the rooftop deck for sunbathing and grand vistas. A woodsy backyard timber deck with charcoal barbecue, outdoor dining table and white picket fence completes this compact venue which will serve as your home base for relaxing time in the Seaside beach community.

Very Pet Friendly. Yes. The owners are pet people. This cottage welcomes the four-legged members of your family. Whether your extra guest is a purse-sized Precious Muffin or an 80-lb Grand Marmaduke, your well-trained, non-shedding canine or feline child is accommodated at Little Lodge. Pets are required to be on-leash outside the house in the Seaside community. The village grocery store, post office and the bookstore have sidewalk water bowls and lead tie-downs for all visiting pets. A $275 pet cleaning supplement will be included in your booking fee.

Rentals include a reserved parking place immediately in front of the cottage, high-speed wi-fi, cable TV for each bedroom and the living room, two complimentary bicycles, access to swim, fitness and tennis centers and the beach pavilion, and a beach bag of arrival welcome amenities, including wine. The upstairs queen sofa bed expands total sleeping occupancy to six.

PROFESSIONAL CLEANING:

• Full linen clean on all cottages. All in-house linens are laundered upon every guest check out. This includes towels, sheets, shams, quilts, and coverlets.
• Masks and Gloves are required for any individual working in a Homeowner's Collection cottage.
• Gloves are changed during various checkpoints throughout cleaning a cottage and upon entering a new cottage to clean.
• All cottage pillows, sofas, chairs, mattress pads, headboards, cushions, curtains, and all other miscellaneous soft goods will be sprayed with a Microband 24 Multi-Purpose Disinfectant.
• All high contact points disinfected from blow dryers, remotes, keypads, clothes hangers, knobs, microwaves, etc. We have a high contact list of over 32 high contact points we will disinfect in all cottages.

Nestled in a back corner, the cottage is a very short walk to the family pool and playground, and a short, pleasant walk through DiBicci Park (no bikes allowed) takes you straight to the Square. We had 14 year old boys on our Spring Break trip, so entry to bedrooms downstairs and living space upstairs was far more convenient than I had imagined. The grill in the back was an added bonus, and we were pleasantly surprised when it was quietly cleaned each day. The appliances are top notch and there is a surplus of kitchen utensils. All rooms in the house were well air conditioned.

What an amazing vacation we just had in Seaside staying at Little Lodge! We loved the cottage from the pictures but the real thing was even better! The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. We did use the bikes provided by the homeowners collection also for excursions! That was such a nice touch. We loved the interior of the home, it was beautiful, clean and spacious! The kitchen was fabulous and the beds were nice and comfortable! We used the backyard as well and loved the setting of the home. So quiet and yet close to the town center. What a great find! We highly recommend this cottage. We will be back!
