Risa’s Cottage provides a quaint getaway for couples or small families on Seaside’s West side. This cottage is located on Forest Street (9 cottages west of the Seaside Chapel). This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children and has designated parking for one vehicle in front of the home.

This cottage is the guest cottage of "Life is Good" and is located right behind the main house. The entrance to the cottage is discovered by following the footpath to the arbor gate, tucked among trees and yard vegetation for added privacy. Outdoor perimeter lighting inside the courtyard offers guests ground lighting for walking and navigating porch steps after sundown. An outdoor patio and recently built boardwalk offer space for lounging, with new chairs and a garden stool. Guests have exclusive use of the enclosed laundry facilities and the enclosed private outdoor shower, making it easy to clean up after a long day at the beach.

The furnished front porch offers high Adirondack seating for two and a garden stool, ideal for sipping your morning cup of coffee or enjoying a glass of wine once the sun goes down. The yard that surrounds the cottage offers space for kids to play as you relax on the porch or patio. Guests may use the propane grill for barbecuing. Bicycles can be brought inside the courtyard for safekeeping.

Beyond the porch, the front door opens up to the main living and dining area of the cottage, complete with a queen-sized sleeper sofa, flat screen Smart TV and custom built-in bench seating/dining nook for a sit-down meal. If you prefer to eat while sitting on the sofa and watching TV, the two small coffee tables can be flipped up and used as tray tables. There is plenty of natural light throughout the room. The accompanying economy-size kitchen is perfect for preparing a quick meal or breakfast, equipped with a small sink, a new induction stovetop, a built-in microwave, and a Sub-Zero compartment refrigerator and freezer.

Off the kitchen and living area is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. This room has a private bathroom, dual nightstands, and plenty of natural light throughout the room. The full bath is equipped with a shower, including a bench seat, and the closet with built-in drawers and clothes hanging space. Original art is exhibited in the cottage.

*3-night minimum Spring, Spring Break, Summer, and Fall. 2-night minimum Winter. Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign the registration.

  • 1 parking pass for one one-bedroom cottage is issued. A golf cart is considered a car. Golf carts for guests visiting Seaside are prohibited. Special circumstances and medical needs requests require a golf cart permit

This was the perfect spot for my husband and I. Very private but within walking distance of Seaside Center and private beach. Homeowners Collection thought of everything and always available if we needed anything.

We loved Risas cottage! Its a small place but the location was perfect and VERY quiet. We sat out on the generous sitting porch where we enjoyed coffee in the morning. The outside shower is large and convenient for a good rinse after a day at the beach. About a 5 min walk to the shops, dining, & entry to the beach.

Risas cottage is a cute little bungalow. Probably smaller then we expected, but we quickly realized that we didn't need a lot of space. Such a great location! Very clean, had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
