Framed by a pine forest both front and back, Way Back Cottage invites guests to fully embrace outdoor living. These thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces extend the living area and enhance the cottage’s tranquil, nature-inspired atmosphere.

Inside, the main level features a compact galley kitchen, dining table, and a welcoming living area with comfortable new seating and a flat-screen smart TV—perfect for unwinding after a day in Seaside. A discreet washer and dryer nook adds everyday convenience without sacrificing space. Upstairs, an easy staircase leads to the open bedroom, complete with a queen bed, flat-screen smart TV, credenza, closet, and a beautifully refreshed bathroom. The spa-like bath includes a walk-in rain shower, heated floors, and a heated towel rail for added comfort.

Two complimentary rental bikes are included with your stay, making it easy to explore Seaside and the neighboring 30A beach towns via the area’s extensive bike paths and scenic routes along freshwater dune lakes. A dedicated parking space is conveniently located directly in front of the cottage. Concierge services from Homeowner’s Collection are available to enhance your stay, including restaurant reservations, optional beach cabana setups, and pre-arrival grocery stocking.

This pet-friendly, fully updated historic cottage has delighted guests for decades and continues to stand out as one of Seaside’s most cherished rental homes—perfectly blending character, comfort, and coastal charm.

* 3 night minimum Spring, Spring Break, Summer, and 2 night minimum Fall &  Winter. Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign registration.

* Pets are allowed with certain restrictions and provisions. An additional $50 a day rental pet fee will be collected in addition to the flat $100 pet fee.

We had a great experience. The home is indeed tiny, with just one bathroom (upstairs with the bedroom), and there is no dishwasher; however, the home is very cute and well appointed. The front yard space is generous, and the unit is very comfortable.

My husband and I stayed next door to our daughter and her family, so we couldnt have found a better location to be able to help them with their babies. We also liked being in at the back of HC property for the quietness and privacy. It wasnt very far to walk to the shop, amphitheater, food trucks/restaurants and the beautiful beach!

It was amazing! My wifes first experience in Seaside and it went marvelous. The cottage had everything for us for the week! Just a couple disclaimers, this is definitely a place for a max of 2-3 adults or 2 adults and a child. No washer and dryer or dishwasher. Other than that highly recommend and great location!

Way Back has everything a you need and nothing you dont. Comfortable, clean and quiet house set back in the town of Seaside. The town also does not disappoint with beach, food and shopping all close at hand within walking distance. No need to go off sight. Truly a wonderful weekend for a couple looking to getaway for a few days.
