For a family-friendly vacation in Seaside, Florida, Whatcha Dune is the ideal beach retreat, offering a perfect blend of convenience and privacy. Situated just across from Ruskin Park and near the Seaside Chapel, this charming cottage is only a few steps from the beach, making it an easy spot to enjoy the sand and surf. Both the east and west end pools are also close by, providing plenty of options for family fun in the sun.

The cottage’s open floor plan is designed to be welcoming and spacious, giving everyone room to unwind and make lasting memories together. The airy kitchen is beautifully equipped with granite countertops and a breakfast bar that seats four, while a cozy breakfast nook offers seating for two, perfect for sipping your morning coffee. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area comfortably accommodates eight, making family meals a breeze. The dining area flows seamlessly into the open living room, filled with natural light and ample seating, along with a large flat-screen TV for entertainment. Just off the living room is a large open-air side porch furnished with Adirondack chairs—ideal for relaxing after a day at the beach. At the back of the home, an additional open-air porch with outdoor dining for eight provides a great spot to enjoy grilled meals while taking in the fresh air. The first floor also features a full bathroom and plenty of storage space.

Upstairs, the cottage offers several comfortable sleeping options. The spacious primary bedroom includes a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private full bath. It also opens onto a furnished screened-in porch with treetop and street views—a perfect place to unwind. The second queen bedroom also has access to the screened-in porch and comes with its own flat-screen TV. This room shares a large Jack and Jill bathroom with the third bedroom, which features two twin beds (can be converted into a king upon request), ample storage, and a flat-screen TV. The third-floor bonus bedroom is perfect for the younger crowd, offering two twin beds and a full bed, as well as a sitting area with a flat-screen TV—a great spot for movie nights or playing games.

The two expansive porches serve as natural gathering spots, running almost the entire length of the cottage. The first-floor porch is open and furnished with comfortable Adirondack chairs, while the second-floor porch is screened in and features a lounge area with a sectional-style outdoor sofa and additional Adirondack seating, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax. Both porches are ideal for sipping a glass of wine, enjoying morning coffee, or simply passing the time with loved ones.

We had a great time at Whatcha Dune. It was centrally located in Seaside, in the middle of everything. A few minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants and shops Seaside has to offer. And we were even able to walk to the chapel for Easter service as its right outside the door! The staff was very accommodating when we arrived a few hours early. Would definitely visit again!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Whatcha Dune. The house was very comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable sleeping arrangements for all 10 of us. We loved being so close to many amenities with short walks to several pools, playgrounds, and basketball courts. We could be in the heart of Seaside in just a few minutes getting ice cream, coffer, or mojitos. It was the perfect house in the perfect location for all of us. Lastly, the rental company was very responsive to all of our questions and always helpful.

Whatcha Dune was the perfect spot for our family on our recent trip to Seaside, FL. The house was close to the town square and just a short walk to the beach. It was decorated well and everyone had plenty of room. Beds were comfortable and all was clean! We will definitely return to Whatcha Dune!
