Seaside gets spacious but still remains cozy, with pandemic-scale distancing and outdoor dining during the Seaside Al Fresco summer. Things are more spread out, outdoors is central, and the gourmet food by top chefs and creative eateries continues unabated. Here are some highlights of restaurant activities in town.
So what's going on in town during the Seaside Al Fresco summer-long celebration?
Seaside is booking up fast with guests coming to enjoy the amenities of town and beach, where there's room to stretch, and gourmet food of every type of casual and fine dining. It turns out that Seaside is a natural for enjoying fresh air and simple elegance together, where best practices to avoid contagion combine with the best talent for wonderful meals.
Modica Market, Seaside's Gourmet Grocery, is open to serve you. Hours are 7am to 6pm seven days a week, limited to 12 guests at a time, and please remember your mask to enter the store. No mask? No worries, the Market can sell you one for $2, and the famous Deli is all yours to indulge in. And in case you didn't know, the Modica Market Mimosa is as good as ever, the best mimosa on Hwy 30A, as everyone agrees.
Great Southern Café is now offering reservation-only dining, and you can make your reservations online, up to 7 days in advance if you want. Per state law, you can have a table as large as up to 10 guests - if you have a larger group, make two reservations and the restaurant will try to seat you as close as possible. Great Southern is open daily with limited seating and reservation-only dining for Breakfast from 8am to 10am and Lunch and Dinner from 11am to 9pm. The Café is also taking To-Go orders - for breakfast only - 8-10am daily. Customers can simply call in the order at 850-231-7327 and pick it up at the host stand. There's also a wonderful outdoor seating tent, large and well lit, located on the Seaside Amphitheater to accommodate more outdoor seating.
45 Central Wine and Sushi Bar is back with its famous Paella Nights every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday! The restaurant starts cooking at 5pm and starts serving by 6pm - arrive early to grab a table! 45 Central is first-come, first-serve for Paella Night and is outdoor seating only. 45 Central is open daily 11am to 8pm and does not take reservations.
Bud and Alleys is now open at all four locations for Dine-In and Take-Out - offering restricted seating capacity at Bud & Alley's Seaside (including the Roof Deck Bar), The Taco Bar, and The Pizza Bar. All these mouth-watering venues provide online and phone take-out ordering - with 3 different phone numbers so check the website, where you can also make your reservations.
Seaside Airstream Row - you can skip the lines and order online for any of the open-air eateries. QR Codes are displayed for easy access to online ordering at your favorite spots. Order ahead and just pick up - dining was always fun and casual on Air Stream Row, and now it's incredibly easy too! And The Meltdown is now by online ordering only, so just scan, order, and pick up.
