Welcome to Sunny Bunny, on the 30A corner of Robert's Way, Seaside's second designed street, one block over from Tupelo Street, where the town began. Tupelo Pavilion is your private entrance across the dunes to the private beach of Seaside.

But even before you complete that one-block stroll you pass Rosewalk, a shaded footpath leading to a forest-like park area shared by the porches of the surrounding homes - a place so shrouded in trees and foliage that even the drones can't spot it from the air. It's a quaint space for the kids to explore, a peaceful oasis to gaze at, and truly a hidden secret of Seaside.

Sunny Bunny is a cornerstone of the original Seaside principle, that homes should have porches that face each other around a center of parkland, so that neighbors can greet each other as they venture outside their private living spaces. That principle changed, elsewhere in town, but that park continued, all grown up now, and now become a hidden jewel amid all the foliage of this signature Florida location.

Sunny Bunny Lifestyle

Sunny Bunny can sleep 6 people in the two queen suites and 2 extra daybeds, one of which is privately situated in a loft area up the spiral staircase. The interior is completely renovated with immaculate features and furnishings - one of those homes that are pleasing simply to live in and use, with a gorgeous kitchen, and luxury accessories designed to bring a smile at every touch.

The house is open plan with a living space that flows throughout the first floor, and yet with private suites and nooks, a porch to share with others for coffee or to dine, or simply laze and gaze at the hidden pathways and foliage beyond. Windows and light are everywhere, and trees all around provide a soothing calm. The loft overlooks the first floor living space yet contains its own privacy, and a private balcony for two from the upstairs suite offers a great space to catch a glimpse of the ocean beyond the treetops, and the famous sunsets of Seaside.

Sunny Bunny offers private parking for two cars that you may not start again until you leave, since everything is in walking distance - and some of the magic can only be accessed on foot. Never did a vacation home suggest exploring on foot as well as this one - the magic is everywhere all around, from the outside park to the beach pavilion a block away, to the town's center and activities just 5 minutes away.

This delightful beach cottage has pleased many discerning visitors over time, so make it your own for your next visit to Seaside!

Robert's Way Historical Footnote

Robert's Way was the first street designed in Seaside, FL and the original concept, where the homes faced in across a shaded forest-like park, with porches to visit and know your neighbors. Robert's Way is one of Seaside's best kept secrets.

Seaside began on Tupelo Street one street over from Robert’s Way. The original concept was to maintain the sandy footpaths and sandy unpaved roads. The original design, of homes looking inward on open public spaces, started between Robert’s Way and Tupelo Street where many homes have open air porches overlooking what is termed the best kept secret in Seaside, Rosewalk Park.

Rosewalk Park is entered by a white arch and is a shaded escape directly across from the beach. Every home looks over the park to keep you connected to the neighbors and provides a quaint area for children to explore and play just steps outside your door.  The concept was to nurture safe neighborhoods and foster neighborliness. Seaside would have front porches; in a warm, humid, coastal location, porches were shaded places to sit in the breeze. Seaside’s porches were required to be far enough from the picket fence line to allow yards with trees but close enough for neighbors on their way to the beach to converse with neighbors on porches.

Seaside houses would have yards but not lawns. Native vegetation would require no pesticides or fertilizer and, after a year or so, no watering. Many of Seaside’s mature oaks and magnolias were scrubby, knee high plants forty years ago.

Many of these homes were smaller homes built for the single family traveler with the original Seaside Concept in mind: unpaved roads and sandy foot paths throughout.  Sunny Bunny is an incredible renovation with an ambience that stays true to Seaside’s original design concept. This home has been completely renovated with designer furnishings throughout.
