From the early 1990s, renowned Seaside architect Richard Gibbs’ classic two-bedroom Charleston style cottage has been winning praise and return guests to its relaxed Forest Street location. The cottage features a much-admired deep porch (or “dogtrot”) style layout, with a large full-length screened breezeway linking the private bedrooms downstairs and the kitchen, dining and living areas upstairs.  The cottage was fully renovated including new air conditioning system, ceiling fans throughout, and new laundry appliances in February 2023.

The street-facing entry door leads onto a screened porch with direct access to the two mirror-image bedrooms, each featuring a platform queen bed, new storage drawers, dimmable indirect uplighting, large shuttered window and smart TV.  The inviting private ensuite bathroom for each bedroom includes a walk-in shower with frameless glass door and rain showerhead, new marble vanity, backlit vanity mirror, and heated floor.  An outdoor shower is provided off the entry level porch.

Up an easy staircase, the second floor includes the renovated kitchen, dining and living areas, another full-length screened porch and Juliette balcony overlooking quiet Forest Street park.  The premium kitchen is equipped with stainless Wolf oven and gas cooktop, Sub-Zero fridge/freezer and Asko dishwasher.  A new ample pantry and separate broom closet form a short passage from the kitchen to the completely new dining area with trestle table, benches and chairs.  The living area, open to dining, is furnished with a comfortable new sofa, oversize swivel chairs, and 50” Frame TV.  There is a newly wallpapered powder room adjacent to the living and dining areas.  The upper screened porch is furnished with a table and chairs perfect for morning coffee, and a classic bench with upholstered cushion.

Little Lodge is perfectly situated for experiencing all the best of vibrant Seaside, while also enjoying the wooded areas behind the cottage for strolling or jogging.

A backyard timber deck with gas barbecue, outdoor dining table and picket fencing completes this compact venue, your vacation home while enjoying the Seaside beach, shops, and dining just steps from the cottage.

Very Pet Friendly. Yes. The owners are pet people. This cottage welcomes the four-legged members of your family. Whether your extra guest is a purse-sized Precious Muffin or an 80-lb Grand Marmaduke, your well-trained canine is accommodated at Little Lodge. Pets are required to be on-leash while outside in the Seaside community. The village grocery store, post office and the bookstore have sidewalk water bowls and lead tie-downs for all visiting pets. A pet cleaning supplement will be included in your booking fee.

Rentals include high-speed wi-fi, cable TV for each bedroom and the living room, two complimentary bicycles, access to swim, fitness and tennis centers and the beach pavilion, and a beach bag of arrival welcome amenities, including wine. There is one guest parking space immediately in front of the cottage.

* 5-night minimum Spring, Spring Break, Summer. 3 night minimum Fall and 2-night minimum Winter.  Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign registration.  No children ages 13 -19 during Spring Break season.

Little Lodge was just as described and in the best location for us to enjoy all there is to do in Seaside. The property was well taken care of and had lots of amenities. Homeowners Collection provided all information needed and communication was great! Would definitely love to stay here again!

This was a fantastic cottage and location! We loved the separate upstairs common area and separation of the bedrooms. The layout was perfect! And the aesthetics of the cottage was perfectly Seaside! The location to the town center was quick & easy and all the amenities were greatly appreciated! It was the perfect place to spend time together and make memories!
