The Court 9 is a welcoming Queen guest residence within The Court, a thoughtfully restored vacation rental destination located in the heart of Seaside Florida. After an extensive eighteen month renovation, The Court now offers a refined coastal experience where architectural heritage meets modern comfort. Eight guest residences are arranged around a beautifully landscaped central garden with seating areas that invite guests to slow down and enjoy the setting.

From The Court 9, guests are just a short walk to the beach, the Coleman Pavilion beach access, Black Bear Bread Company, the Seaside Amphitheater, and the lively downtown area filled with shops, dining, and entertainment.

A Landmark with Lasting Character

Formerly known as the Motorcourt and once referred to as the No Tell Motel, the building holds a distinctive place in Seaside’s history. Designed by noted American architect Scott Merrill, recipient of the Driehaus Architecture Prize, the original structure reflected a modern interpretation of classic motor court design.

After years of serving as administrative offices, the property has been fully reimagined and reopened as The Court, offering a one of a kind vacation rental experience that honors its past while embracing contemporary coastal living.

Queen Guest Room Overlooking The Lawn

The Court 9 is one of six standard court style Queen rooms, designed to provide a comfortable and calming stay. The room looks out onto the property’s central garden and open green space known as The Lawn, offering a peaceful backdrop throughout the day.

Inside, guests will find a queen bed dressed in luxurious Peacock Alley linens, custom built in storage, and a dedicated desk nook ideal for remote work or trip planning. Serena and Lily furnishings and soft coastal finishes give the space an inviting and polished feel.

Well Appointed In Room Features

The room includes a built in coffee station with a Nespresso maker, an under counter refrigerator, and ample storage for personal belongings. The oversized private bathroom features a spacious vanity, a marble tiled walk in shower, and a rainfall showerhead with wand. Two plush bathrobes are provided to enhance comfort during your stay.

Additional features include blackout shades for privacy, enhanced soundproofing for quiet relaxation, a Samsung Smart Frame television, and a dedicated WiFi booster for reliable connectivity.

Private Porch for Outdoor Relaxation

Each stay at The Court includes access to a private side porch overlooking the lawn and garden. Outfitted with a custom hanging bed and a Utility Canvas throw, this outdoor space is ideal for enjoying morning coffee, afternoon downtime, or an evening glass of wine. It offers a peaceful outdoor extension of the room, perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach or exploring Seaside.

Central Yet Calm Location

The Court 9 offers the rare combination of a central Seaside location with a sense of privacy and calm. Guests are steps from the area’s most popular attractions, yet return to a setting that feels tucked away and tranquil. Whether visiting for a weekend getaway or an extended coastal stay, The Court provides a comfortable and well located home base in the Florida Panhandle.

* Pets are allowed with certain restrictions and provisions. An additional $50 a day rental pet fee will be collected in addition to the flat $100 pet fee.  Pets will not be allowed on furniture.  No pet over 50 lbs.

The Court requires a two-night minimum year-round and a one-night minimum in winter. The booking calendar is available up to one year in advance for the general public. Guests must be 25 years of age or older to rent and sign registration. No occupants under 25 years of age are allowed; The Court is an adults-only residence.

This place....Wow! I think this place (Cottage 9) will be my gauge for any future places I stay. We were assigned a designated parking space so there was no stress to find parking, which looked to be very scarce. Everything is so conveniently located and pet friendly that we could walk and eat anywhere with our little shih tzu. The beach was only a block away and there were chairs and an umbrella set up for us. The grounds and staff were lovely and so respectful and friendly. We had our own private porch with a bench swing with some drapes so we were able to leave our sandy beach gear out without dragging it into the room-which was also fantastic. The bed was comfy and the shower had enough pressure to wash off the days beach grime. I have already recommended this property to my family and friends if they want a relaxing no stress getaway.
