Karibu is the delightful guest cottage of Hakuna Matata, perfectly positioned near Seaside’s West Side Pool and just a two-minute walk to the beach. Privately accessed via one of Seaside’s iconic pedestrian footpaths, this hidden retreat offers both convenience and tranquility in one of Seaside, Florida’s most desirable locations.

Light-Filled Living with Private Courtyard

Upon arrival, Karibu opens into a quaint, enclosed courtyard featuring a barbecue grill—an inviting space for outdoor dining or unwinding after a day at the beach. The covered front porch stretches the length of the cottage and leads directly into the open living area, where natural light pours in through three sets of French doors on each level.

The main living space is thoughtfully designed with a queen-sized sleeper sofa, flat-screen TV, and easy access to a half bath, making it both comfortable and functional for relaxing or entertaining.

Fully Equipped Kitchen & Casual Dining

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for preparing meals at home and is seamlessly connected to the living space by a breakfast bar with seating for four. A washer and dryer are conveniently tucked into a kitchen closet, while a charming rocking chair positioned by the French doors creates the perfect morning coffee nook.

Private King Suite with Balcony

Upstairs, guests will find a bright and spacious king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Both the bedroom and bath open through French doors onto a private second-floor balcony, offering a peaceful outdoor escape surrounded by Seaside’s signature architecture and greenery.

* 3 night minimum Spring, Spring Break, Summer, and 2 night minimum Fall &  Winter. Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign registration.

We loved our time at seaside. The property is very well cared for and the staff very friendly. The unit is one of our favorites- one bedroom with a king bed and one and a half baths- perfect size for my husband and I. Kitchen is well stocked, the unit was very clean upon arrival and the management is very communicative.

We loved our stay in Seaside. Karibu is a roomy one bedroom/ 1 1/2 bath with King bed. We loved the location- directly across from the lap pool and less than a block to the beach. The unit was very clean with nice linens and full kitchen and laundry. Great communication and customer service. Would definitely rent Karibu in the future!
